World Cruises 2026
World Cruises continue to gain in popularity, with 15 World Cruises in 2026 sailing on 13 different cruise lines – just in the English speaking market. These range from mainstream cruise lines to all-inclusive ultra luxury.
World Cruises 2026
These particular World Cruise itineraries have been shaped by global events, specifically the war in Gaza with several cruise lines including Princess and Holland America Line completely changing their itineraries to avoid the region all together.
There are still great itineraries to be found though with most including some extras for those guest sailing the full circumnavigation. You’ll also find lines that do special events shoreside, bring on cultural ambassadors, and have lots of extra theme parties onboard.
A World Cruise is an incredible experience where after months together onboard everyone feels like family.
Take a look at the World Cruises of 2026.

Which cruise lines are sailing World Cruises in 2026?
2026 will see a similar range of cruise lines sailing World Cruises as in previous years. Notably missing is Fred. Olsen, that has opted to do several no-fly Grand Voyages from the UK instead. Also, Viking only has one World Cruise on offer whereas in some previous years they’ve had two.
You’ll also notice Royal Caribbean isn’t included here – they haven’t formally announced their next Ultimate World Cruise but will likely do so late in 2025.
The cruise lines sailing World Cruises really do have a big range – from mainstream more entry level cruise lines like Costa and MSC all the way up through all-inclusive ultra luxury like Crystal and Regent Seven Seas.
Thinking of doing a never ending World Cruise? There are some cruise lines you can literally live on year round. For this though we are only looking at traditional cruise lines World Cruises in 2026.

What’s Included in a World Cruise?
Asking how much a World Cruise costs is a good starting point, but it is what is included that really makes a difference in the value of the cruise. Cruise lines have gotten creative with their inclusions on these long round-the-world adventures and in 2026 it’s no different.
Some cruise lines only include the basics whereas others include everything from drinks to shore excursions to onboard medical care. Here is my super handy dandy spreadsheet of who includes what for world cruises 2026. It also helps explain some of the giant price tags for the most inclusive of the World Cruises.

This world cruise really shines for it’s length of port stays. Whereas some cruises might stay for one day this cruise has extended stays of two or three days at pretty incredible locations.
Starting out with an overnight in Progreso, Mexico – this isn’t where you would expect a world cruise to start but it gives guests a chance to explore Chichen Itza and this cruise really focuses on giving guests time in those places with incredible history.
You’ll then have a Panama Canal transit heading south to Lima, Peru. You’ll stop in Easter Island for an overnight and then continue to enjoy several overnights in French Polynesia including Moorea, Papeete, and Bora Bora.
After this you’ll head to New Zealand where you’ll enjoy both the north and south islands including Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch and an overnight in Dunedin.
Then you have a bit of Australian exploration plus an overnight in Manila, Philippines. After making your way to Hong Kong you’ll then come south to Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.
You’ll sail across the Indian Ocean with stops in Cochin, India (for yet another overnight), Sri Lanka, the Maldives and the Seychelles.
Now things really pick up with a whole host of African ports including in Kenya, Tanzania, Mayotte, Madagascar, South Africa, and Namibia.
To finish things off there is a bit of port hopping in the Mediterranean before ending the cruise in Barcelona.

- Great taste of the world – with stops on 5 continents
- 6 overnight ports
This itinerary is a full circumnavigation, from incredible New York City all the way around the world until you get back to NYC 109 days later.
While there are a few overnight ports, this is not that destination heavy of an itinerary and instead of diving into one region really in depth it touches on some big highlights for each region that it visits.
Highlights include overnights in LA, San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Cape Town.
This itinerary goes east to west, through the Panama Canal, across the Pacific and after a few stops in Asia makes it’s way south across the Indian Ocean to Africa and then up to France and Southampton before beginning the classic transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York that Cunard is famous for.

Cunard – Queen Anne

This is one of the rare world cruise itineraries that goes west to east – resulting in a whole lot of hour forwards. It wouldn’t be my first choice but when you’re onboard for 110 nights changing time zones a few times either way isn’t that big of a deal.

Costa Cruises
- Cost: $17,065 per person
- Length: 142 Days

- Departing from: Trieste, Italy to Trieste, Italy
- Ship: Costa Deliziosa, 2,826 guests
- Itinerary Highlights:
- Overnights in some great places – including Easter Island
- 7 overnight ports
- Asia, western South America, Africa
I always have mixed feelings when I see Easter Island on an itinerary. It is such a cool place to visit but it’s a tender port and sometimes the weather is unfavorable. All of this to say, one year on a World Cruise not everyone could get ashore in Easter Island and you would have thought there was going to be a mutiny onboard.
This itinerary solves that by having an overnight on Easter Island! This pretty much guarantees, barring truly terrible weather, that everyone that wants to go ashore can go.
I will say overall this is a thoughtfully done itinerary. It’s got a nice mix of overnight ports and late sails with some sea days mixed in for you to rest and recuperate before the next big ports.
For this itinerary you’ll start in Europe, cross the Atlantic, make your way through the Panama Canal and then head south along the west coast of South America making your way down to San Antonio. For the stop in Callao, or Lima, it is only one day but if you wanted to go to Macchu Picchu you’ll need to do an overland tour regardless.
After this you’ll do the Pacific crossing, with stops at Easter Island as well as a handful of South Pacific islands include favorite Papeete (Tahiti). Interestingly it skips right over New Zealand and heads for Australia. You’ll make your way north along the east coast of Australia – meaning Great Barrier Reef – and then head up to Asia to explore for a little bit.
Then it’s time to cross the Indian Ocean for Africa and after heading north on the west coast of Africa finish up your cruise in the Mediterannean.

- Itinerary Highlights:
- More extensive South Pacific, Asia, Middle East
- 10 overnight ports
This itinerary starts out heavy on the sea days with a Pacific Crossing with just two days in Hawaii to break up the journey across. It’s followed by a string of South Pacific islands though including overnights in Nuku Hiva and Tahiti and there’s about 3 weeks of island hopping before shifting gears to New Zealand and Australia.
For Australia this itinerary goes north along the east coast which means you’ll be able to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef. You then sail further north to go and explore more of Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. This is peppered with more overnights as well. In all this itinerary features 10 overnight ports.
It’s time to continue west with stops in India before working towards the Suez. There’s a variety of stops in the Middle East including Oman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and then Egypt for transiting the canal. After transiting the canal you are in the last few weeks of the cruise ending in Civitavecchia.

- Itinerary Highlights:
- Extensive South America, scenic cruising in Antartica, plus Alaska
- 9 overnight ports
This itinerary is a big switch from the original itinerary, favoring to explore Asia and forgoing all exploration of the Middle East region. Notably this itinerary includes Antarctica and is the only 2026 World Cruise to go to Antarctica.
On it’s Pacific circle it also includes stops in Alaska which make for a very interesting itinerary. I do think they missed an opportunity to bring the ship north past Nome, Alaska into the Arctic circle and then would have done yet another “Pole to Pole”.

MSC Cruises

- Departing from: Genoa, Italy to Genoa, Italy
- Ship: MSC Magnifica, 3,223 guests

- Itinerary Highlights:
- Asia including the Philippines, Middle East, Southern Caribbean
- 7 overnight ports
Starting in Italy to make it’s way for a full circumnavigation of the globe you’ll head across the Atlantic. This means lots of hour backs and extra sleep as you make your way around the globe.
There is quite a bit of Southern Caribbean island hopping before transiting the Panama Canal, followed by a Mexican Riviera run and then up to San Francisco. After this you’ll make your way across the Atlantic stopping in Honolulu. There is an overnight in Honolulu which is great because crossing the Pacific to stop in Hawaii for one day always seems a bit silly to me.
Continuing across the Pacific you’ll head south for a few quick South Pacific stops and then onto New Zealand and Australia. As is common with World Cruises you’ll head north on the east side of Australia to get to the Great Barrier Reef.
This is followed by a really great run of ports in Asia including an overnight in Manila and Tokyo. Shanghai is also on this itinerary and most itineraries haven’t been favoring China so this is a rarity on World Cruise itineraries for 2026.
The crossing from Asia to the Middle East includes a stop in Colombo, Sri Lanka but skips India altogether. It then heads to Dubai and Oman as well as Aqaba, Jordan (for Petra). After the Suez Canal transit it is making a line swiftly out of that region and north to Greece.
As we’ve seen with other itineraries for 2026 cruise lines aren’t favoring the Suez Canal and region near Israel. However, as this cruise comes out of the Suez and then continues with the Mediterranean and doesn’t try to go towards Israel maybe it will stay as it stands. Time will tell.

- Itinerary Highlights:
- Full circumnavigation, South Pacific, UK, Ireland, Denmark
- 10 overnight ports
This itinerary is nearly always among the best World Cruise itineraries out there simply because at 180 days there is really time to see so much of the world.
This is a full circumnavigation roundtrip from Miami to Miami. It features a nearly full circumnavigation of South America and spends a good amount of time doing the full coast of both the east and west sides. It also explores the South Pacific region pretty extensively stopping at 12 islands.
While it doesn’t have too many ports in Southeast Asia, it does include overnights in Thailand, Singapore, and Bali.
There are a few Middle Eastern ports and then the transit of the Suez Canal. They are scheduled to call in both Saudi Arabia as well as Luxor in Egypt. After leaving the canal they’ll head for Santorini and continue exploring the Mediterranean.
Before heading across the Atlantic though this cruise will head north to the UK and Ireland, plus Denmark and Iceland and make it’s way south along the east coast of North America including Halifax, NYC, and Charleston.

P&O Cruises
- Cost: $12,045 per person
- Length: 100 nights
- Dates: January 6th, 2026 – April 15th, 2026
- Departing from: Southampton, UK to Southampton, UK
- Ship: Arcadia, 2,094 guests
- Inclusions:
- Tips Included
- Itinerary Highlights:
- Western Australia and both North and South Islands of New Zealand, Africa, big US ports (Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles)
- 5 overnight ports
- Very quick round the world at only 100 days
This itinerary is a rarity in that it goes west to east. Most cruise lines do not opt for this as you have to do hour forwards as you change time zones instead of hour backs when you go the east to west route. This means it starts out in Southampton and makes the way down around Africa, across the Indian Ocean and then starts exploring Australia in Fremantle. This is great because it gives you a chance to see the western side of Australia that most world cruises miss.
The cruise then continues through New Zealand (both North and South islands) and starts crossing the Pacific to Honolulu to Mexico and then through the Panama Canal. After a bit of island hopping it makes it’s way across the Atlantic to Ponta Delgada and then onto Southampton.

- Room service
- Itinerary Highlights:
- Japan, Western Australia, Alaska (including Glacier Bay)
- 5 overnight ports
One of the itineraries that has been changed to avoid the region near the war in Gaza we see a very interesting circle the Pacific cruise – excluding South America entirely.
This cruise enjoys quite a bit of Oceania and explores the western side of Australia, Asia, and then spends a bit of time making its way down the west cost of North America including quite a few Alaskan ports plus Vancouver, Astoria, Seattle and Santa Barbara.
I really like that when they cross the Pacific to start there are 4 days in Hawaii exploring a couple different islands. This is followed by heading to the islands of the South Pacific and New Zealand before making their way around Australia. This means no Great Barrier Reef for this itinerary but is instead a great option to explore more of the Outback of Australia.
After just one stop in Indonesia it’s time to dive into Asia a bit more closely with stops in Malaysia, Thailand, 4 stops in Vietnam, plus Taipei, South Korea, and 9 stops in Japan. Interestingly there is no stop in Singapore and that is a rarity for a Wold Cruise to skip.
Then starts what is in essence a full blown Alaskan cruise itinerary complete with glacier days at both Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park.

- Departing from: Auckland, New Zealand to Auckland, New Zealand
- Ship: Crown Princess, 3,080 guests
- Itinerary Highlights:
- Great taste of the world – with stops on 5 continents
- 5 overnight ports
Anyways, this World Cruise itinerary is really heavy on sea days to start out. I’m talking between May 6th (day 1 of the cruise) and June 12th there are only 10 port days. Out of 37 days 27 of them are sea days. That is a lot of sea days to start a journey. It should be noted this itinerary was a shift from the original though (**the map on the Princess website is incorrect) and maybe that’s why there are so many sea days to start.
After that big chunk at the beginning crossing the Indian Ocean and such things start to pick up with stops in the Canary Islands and then really get into it with stops in France, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, England, Scotland and Iceland.
The cruise makes its way south at this point including stops on the Canada/New England run like Quebec City and Halifax plus Saguenay which has just a really beautiful sail-in and out. Before heading all the way south to the Panama Canal there is an overnight in NYC which is awesome as then you could potentially catch a Broadway show.
After transiting the Panama Canal there’s a taste of South America including an overnight in Callao (for Lima) and then crossing the Pacific with a stop at Easter Island, Tahiti, Moorea, and then back to Auckland.
Aside from so many sea days to start this journey it is a really great itinerary.

- Itinerary Highlights:
- Great Hawaii, overnight in Bora Bora, extensive Africa
- 16 overnight ports
This cruise starts with an overnight in Miami. This feels a little anti-climatic to me as there is no big sail-away moment until the next day. But, an overnight in Miami would definitely be fun and from a logistics standpoint works out great for the cruise line because there is so much extra stuff to be brought onboard before the start of a World Cruise.
It’s then followed by a few Caribbean and Central American ports and a Panama Canal transit. Then comes the Pacific crossing and stops in Hawaii. They do this right though with 5 Hawaiian ports and overnights in both Honolulu and Kauai.
Like most other World Cruises at this point they head south and hop between some South Pacific islands before making their way to New Zealand. On their island hopping though they have an overnight in Bora Bora which you don’t see on many itineraries anymore because of restrictions Bora Bora has put in place against large cruise ships.
After a few days in New Zealand and making it’s way from Sydney along the east coast of Australia you’ll head north to Indonesia as well as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and then Sri Lanka and India as you sail west.
This starts the African part of your journey which is the most extensive African itinerary of any World Cruise in 2026 including the Maldives and Seychelles, Madagascar, Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia and more.
After heading north to the Canary Islands you’ll sail across the Atlantic with a stop in Bermuda and the Bahamas before finishing up in the Miami 154 days later.

- Itinerary Highlights:
- “Ring of Fire” highlighting ports around the Pacific ocean
- South Pacific, North and South Island New Zealand, Tasmania and Western Australia, 13 ports in Japan, Alaska
- 5 overnight ports
This “World Cruise” circles the Pacific somewhat similarly to the Coral Princess World Cruise. It starts in Los Angeles and does a Pacific crossing to Hawaii before heading south to the South Pacific. Due to the small size of this ship it is able to call in Bora Bora (a personal favorite as it’s where I got engaged). After a few days in French Polynesia and a few other island stops it heads to New Zealand.
This itinerary ops for both the North and South Island of New Zealand and then in Australia goes around the western side. When it heads north to Indonesia and further north to the Philippines and Hong Kong you’ll notice Singapore is skipped over. Not a big deal and is more than made up for with the extensive ports offered in Japan.
After a few days in Taiwan it is time to head to Japan for the massive 13 port intensive stretch including an overnight in Tokyo.
This is followed by crossing the International Dateline to Alaska where you’ll see a bit of the Last Frontier including Glacier Bay National Park before ending your cruise in Vancouver, Canada.

There is no way that this itinerary will sail the way that it is currently (January 2025) listed. I’m sorry, I just do not see a way that a cruise line is going to sail to Haifa, or Ashdod, Israel within the next year and a half.
I think we can take that portion of this itinerary with a grain of salt. Looking at the rest of the itinerary we see a global exploration peppered with incredible ports and overnights around the world.
This itinerary starts off with a Panama Canal transit and then makes its way south on the western side of South America. The first overnight is in Callao for Lima, Peru.
Then you start the crossing of the Pacific which includes an overnight in Easter Island. The Pacific exploration continues with several stops on islands in the South Pacific including an overnight in Tahiti. Much like the other luxury ships that are small enough to stay under the 1,000 passenger limit in Bora Bora she enjoys a day in Bora Bora.
After a bit more South Pacific fun and an overnight in New Caledonia it’s time for New Zealand with an overnight in Auckland. Then crossing over to Australia starting in Tasmania and then an overnight in Melbourne. This voyage continues around western Australia. After a few stops in Indonesia, as well as an overnight in Singapore, it is time to head towards Mumbai. This is done with stops in Thailand, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
Here is when I think this itinerary is going to end up changing. This is the section going from Mumbai to Haifa and I just cannot see a cruise ship docking in Israel. Whether they decide to head through the Suez Canal with a few stops in the Middle East on the way or opt for cruising all the way around Africa I don’t know but it’s safe to say something here is going to change.
Assuming we then make our way to the other side of the Suez and into Europe but skipping anything over in Israel, you’ll have a few stops in Turkey and then exploring Greece a bit plus a stop in Albania and Croatia.
Next up is a great string of ports including Malta, Montenegro, Tunisia, Sicily, Gibraltar and Cadiz before ending the voyage in Lisbon, Portugal.

Starting in Los Angeles and making the way across the Pacific with a stop in Hawaii for an overnight in Honolulu. You then head south to a variety of South Pacific stops including Bora Bora before crossing to New Zealand.
After New Zealand you make your way to Australia and head up the eastern side of Australia which will give you a chance to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef. Several stops in Indonesia.
